Allison Patton, RN, BSN

My name is Allison Patton, but I am best known by Allie. I have been a nurse for four and a half years and graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. I graduated in December 2018 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My career started at Cleveland Clinic inpatient adult colorectal surgery. Due to the pandemic, I wanted a small change in my career. I took a position with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Colorectal Center in May of 2020 and have been with the team since. I lead our pilonidal clinic within the centers with Dr. Nelson Rosen and Dr. Rebeccah Brown. I am the educational chair for all colorectal patient education for internal and external use. I have been attending and a part of PLPLC conferences in the past: virtually in 2020, and in person in 2022 and this year. I cohost a bowel management seminar with Monica Holder RN in February 2022. I presented virtually in ASPNA in 2020. I am currently back in school for my master’s degree. Professional goals include, but are not limited to, completing my Master’s in Nurse Education, obtain certification for pediatric nursing, and continuing to improve patient education and experiences for our families. Some fun facts about me are that I will be getting married on October 7, 2023 to my best friend, traveling out of the country for the first time, and I have a bernedoodle named Ziggy.
