Amy received her initial nursing degree in 1995, and developed a passion for pediatrics beginning in 1998 in the Pediatric Emergency Department. She received her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification in 2004 and began her career with Pediatric General Surgery and Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, TN. In 2011, Amy moved to Austin, TX where her interest and enthusiasm for pediatric surgery flourished with Austin Pediatric Surgery at Dell Children’s Medical Center. With a growing desire to provide individualized care for patients and families with complex medical and surgical needs, Amy joined the Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction Center at DCMC in 2022.
