Faculty
Belinda Hsi Dickie, MD, PhD
She has expertise in the reconstruction of congenital and acquired colorectal malformations and has been innovative in applying minimally invasive and robotic techniques to the surgical management of these patients. She has also led the development of novel techniques with ultrasound to image anorectal malformations.
Part of her interests is to help train and improve the care of patients with congenital colorectal anomalies from birth to adulthood. She has developed in conjunction with the BCH Simulation center a high fidelity training model for the repair of anorectal malformation for the use in educating surgical trainees. She has done research in the identifying limitations and road blocks to transition in adult care and has worked with the adult colorectal centers in the Boston area to develop transition processes for the older patients.
