Danielle Hsu, MD

Danielle M. Hsu, MD, is an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) in the Department of Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Hsu has been in practice in Houston since 2017. She is board certified in general surgery and pediatric surgery. Dr. Hsu’s clinical interests center on congenital colorectal disease, including anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease and cloaca. She is a part of the Comprehensive Congenital Colorectal Program at UTHealth Houston/Children’s Memorial Herman Hospital and is interested in the long-term care of these patients with complex conditions whose needs change over time. Part of the Comprehensive Congenital Colorectal Program includes a clinic for adult patients with a history of congenital colorectal disease and for adolescents who are ready to begin the transition to adult care. Dr. Hsu earned her medical degree at NYU School of Medicine in 2007. She completed a residency in general surgery at the University of California-Los Angeles School of Medicine and a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
