Dave Durocher was arrested for the first time at the age of thirteen. By the time he was 38, he had been to prison four times for a total of fifteen years. He was given the “chance of a lifetime” and was allowed to go to Delancey Street in lieu of prison. Through that experience he was able to feel and see what integrity, honesty and accountability did for, not only himself, but the community. Invigorated by this new way of living he helped launch The Other Side Academy in 2015 bringing with him those very principles. Acting as the Executive Director of the academy he now helps hundreds of men and women, just as broken as he once was, learn how to live on the “Other Side”.
