Nationwide Children’s Hospital / Moderator: HD – The Basics

I am the Nursing Clinical Leader within the Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction (CCPR) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) in Columbus, OH. I started my nursing career in adult care, but quickly transitioned to pediatric care and have been working at NCH for the past 11 years. Prior to moving to the colorectal specialty, I was heavily involved in Infectious Disease and worked in research for 4 years. What I love most about my current role is the wonderful team that I work with and the families that I get to care for every day. The resiliency our patients and families demonstrate on a daily basis is what motivates when I walk into the hospital. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, water sports, and skiing. I have two daughters, Kaia and Caelynn, who keep me very busy and are the joys of my life.
