Kathleen Trad Hoff, MMSc, PA-C

Kathleen Hoff was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and obtained an undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Psychology. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she obtained her first Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences. She practiced as a pediatric speech language pathologist for 9 years in Chicago, Illinois specializing in Cranio-facial disorders and Swallowing Disorders. Feeling she wanted to accomplish more in the medical field in pediatrics coupled with her desire to increase her work with pediatric surgeons, she applied to PA school. She attended Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and completed a full time program where she obtained her Master’s in Medical Science. She is board certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She practiced in general pediatric surgery for 10 years at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. From there, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she began to specialize in Pediatric Colorectal Surgery and Bowel Management at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She brought that specialization to Atlanta, Georgia.

Kathleen is currently a Physician Assistant at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has been practicing in the Department of Pediatric Surgery for 11 years utilizing her specialization in colorectal surgery and bowel management. She is now the Program Coordinator of the Pelvic AnoRectal Care Program where children born with anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease, spinal dysraphisms as well as children with idiopathic constipation and colonic dysmotility are treated on a daily basis.
Kathleen has presented and been a moderator at National pediatric conferences throughout her career. She is actively involved in research, program development and pediatric/adolescent patient care.
