Nelson G. Rosen, MD
Dr. Rosen is a Professor of Pediatric Surgery at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He serves as the Associate Director of the Pediatric Colorectal Center. After completing his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, he obtained his medical degree at Temple University in 1994. He went on to complete his general surgery and chief residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2000. He completed fellowships in pediatric colorectal and urogenital reconstructive surgery (research 1998-1999; clinical 2000-2001) at the Schneider Children’s Hospital under the mentorship of Alberto Peña. He then completed his Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at the Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital of the University of Montreal, in Canada (2003). Following his fellowship he worked at the Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York until 2018, when he was recruited to Cincinnati. Dr. Rosen is Board Certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Rosen has served in the U.S. Army Reserve since 1994 and currently holds the rank of Brigadier General. He resides in the Cincinnati area with his wife Jeanne Choi Rosen and their two children.
