Toria is a nurse practitioner at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Colorectal Surgery Department. She transitioned to the advanced practice provider role in May of 2023 and is excited to continue to make a difference for the colorectal patient population. She began her nursing career at Cincinnati Children’s on a GI/Colorectal Surgery medical surgical floor after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with her Bachelor of Nursing degree. This is where she first realized she took pooping for granted! Toria spent 7 years working as an inpatient nurse while simultaneously completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, also at the University of Cincinnati. She is now a Family Nurse Practitioner and enjoys her dual inpatient/outpatient provider role as it allows her to see the patients grow, overcome their poop challenges and achieve big things! You can find Toria working on a hospital squatty potty project or looking forward to her first colorectal mission trip to Tanzania! In her free time, she is cheering for the Cincinnati Bearcats, being a miserable Reds fan or playing soccer. She is honored to participate in her first PCPLC conference and is ready to learn from the knowledge and experience of others as she continues her career in colorectal surgery.
