Helle is a registered nurse in the Colorectal Center at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. A native of Denmark, Helle earned her master’s degree in English from the University of Copenhagen in 2000 and, after relocating to the US, received her BSN from the College of Nursing at the University of Utah in 2007. She is currently in her first year of the DNP at the University of Utah.

Helle has taken on the role as lead nurse for the center’s bowel management program and is currently teaching a monthly class which introduces the patients and their families to management of severe constipation. She follows the patients closely through bowel management week and, in collaboration with the nurse practitioners in the clinic, develops an individualized treatment plan for each patient.

Helle received the Nurse Excellence Award for Outpatient Clinics at Primary Children’s Hospital in 2022.
