Meghan Mesa, BSN, RN, CPN
Meghan Mesa has been a nurse at Children’s National Hospital for 18 years and is a Certified Pediatric Nurse. She graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2006. After graduation, Meghan began her career as a staff nurse at Children’s National caring for post-surgical patients, including general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, traumas and burns. After 9 years as a staff nurse, she transitioned into the role of the inpatient Clinical Instructor, where her role primarily focused on onboarding and educating new nurses as well as continuing education for all staff members. In 2020, she joined the Division of Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction at her institution and now specializes in caring for patients with colorectal conditions in the outpatient setting and continues to care for this population to date. Meghan is excited to be a valuable part of the collaborative team and is passionate about caring for children with colorectal conditions.
