Raja Rabah, MD

Dr. Rabah received her M.D. from Damascus University School of Medicine in 1980 with honors. She completed residency training in Anatomic Pathology at Booth Memorial Medical Center/New York University Medical Center, Flushing, New York (1982-1985), followed by a Pediatric Pathology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh from 1985-1987. Dr. Rabah is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Pediatric Pathology.
She served as Director of the Department of Pathology at Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem from 1987-1994. In 1994, she joined the faculty of Wayne State University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor. She was promoted to rank of Associate Professor in 2002 and to Professor in 2009. She worked as an associate pathologist at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit (1994-2009).
Dr. Rabah joined the faculty of the University of Michigan Health System in July 2009 as Professor and Director of Pediatric Pathology. Since 2010 she established the Pediatric Pathology Fellowship Program at the University of Michigan. In 2011 she became the Director of Pediatric and Perinatal Pathology at the University of Michigan. She is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts and she was invited on numerous occasions to deliver extramural, regional, national and international presentations.
